An image of one of the three 10" shore guns located a Fort Casey at the entrance to Puget Sound. Fort Casey was one of three forts that were established to protect the Puget Sound from invasion during WWII. Fort Casey, Fort Worden and Fort Ebey made up what was coined the triangle of death with their overlapping fields of fire covering all of the main entrance to the Sound protecting the urban centers of western Washington State from attack by sea. These guns were never fired except for practice

My photographs are not always technically correct, I tend to break the rules but I do that knowing what the rules are and having a reason to do so. My photographic images are what and how I see the world around me in my minds eye—they are who I am.

    Wow, that’s something of a gun. 10", that’s around 254mm’s – awesome.
Great photo, the dramatic sky enhances the threatening mood excellently here.
