Inroads into my local art community

Posted 9 months ago

Yesterday I found out this image got honorable mention in the Gig Harbor Maritime Juried art exhibition.

There were 250 pieces of art submitted from all over western Washington with 140 pieces being accepted into the show. 95% of the art works were paintings and the jurors were all painters so I am pretty excited that a photograph even got noticed and even more excited that it was one of mine! I…

Brewhouse on the Deschutes

Posted 9 months ago

I would like to thank the person that bought the mounted print of Brewhouse on the Deschutes. It is always a thrill for me to know that someone likes my work enough to want to have it hanging on their wall. I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of this image of the old Olympia Brewery Brewhouse.

Thank you very much,
Bryan S. Peterson

Mom moved on to her new life in the light of the full moon this last Sunday night…from now on giving me a new understanding of the world around me a…

I, with the help of my sister (hence the comment on my age) have been in the process of building a new web-site and personal blog. It is still very much a work in progress so if you get a chance I would appreciate any comments and suggestions for improvements. The link for my Wandering 101 Photography web and blog is here.
Thanks a lot,
Bryan

Off to the races

Posted almost 2 years ago

I"m off to the races; heading down to southern Utah for two weeks to explore and photograph the desert and canyon lands of the Colorado Plateau.

Although it would be fun I will not be using this vintage Chevrolet race car on my trip.

It happened again! My old computer has finally given up the ghost and the dredded blue screen is all I can see. But this time I have all my files backed up (in two separate places) so I haven’t lost any of my images. I am planning on switching from pc to a mac operating system plus up-grading from CS-2 to CS-4 so I get to learn how to work a computer and Photoshop all over again. With all thi…
