Charlotte's Web
This time of year I can’t walk out in the yard here in Washington State without walking into one of these spider’s webs so I thought I would take a closer look. From a distance they look like drab brown spiders but up close they are full of colors and contrasts.
Look at the large image for a better view!

A lot of people don’t like these shots. I love them. They show such fine detail, as this one does. A great study of what a spider’s world is like. Keep them coming Bryan.

Thank you very much Raider. I agree, looking closer at what we often consider the every day can reveal a wonderful world of detales needing to be explored.

Yikes…yep, they are out in Oregon too.
Bryan Peterson replied
At least they aren’t this size out in the yard Rebecca!

It looks HUGE! Great capture.

The largest girls are about 0.5” from leg tip to leg tip Paul. I used my 75 to 300mm lens (at about 100) and a 20mm extension tube so she is a little larger than life.
