Vanishing Poing

Vanishing Poing

This is an image of the superstructure of the bridge deck of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (the old one). I like the structure in the lines and triangles along with the perspective leading to a diminishing point in the image. Enjoy

Thanks Teresa—it was a lot of fun being allowed to explore the parts of the bridge that most people aren’t allowed to be on.

Great POV, well lit and great depth. Good job Bryon.

  • Bryan Peterson replied

Thanks barkeypf, I knew the POV was interesting when I saw it and this is one of my HDR processed images that is close to what I saw in person.

This reminded me of the first exercise we did in art class…I love it. The composition is great, and the green somehow adds depth to the dimension.

  • Bryan Peterson replied

I’ve always felt that all those rules we learned in our various art classes were so we would know what we were doing when we broke them—but sometimes they really work to our advantage. I’m glad you enjoyed the image Steve.

Brian, this is an awsome piece of art. xxxx

  • Bryan Peterson replied

Glad you enjoy my image amarica. I had a great time that day crawling around the bridge. The angles of the steal superstructure of the bridge were a lot of fun to play with and capture images of but the highlight of the adventure was climbing the 623’ to the top of the bridge. Not the best photos due to the light but what an experiance!
