Backlit horse on Dartmoor, Devon, UK

This Horse reminded me of Boxer from Animal Farm. I like to think it’s him escaping from the Pig’s & retiring in dignity. Note Trudi has pointed out this is more likely a Female in Foal than a tired & weary male, so despite her age I’m now going for Clover as the carrier of Boxer’s genes!

My original image Fuji HS10 pp in PS elements & painted in DAP funky oils.

Thanks to everyone who visits & comments on my work

Due to time constraints I’m no longer just saying individual thanks when someone comments on my work, but I will always try to repay the compliment by visiting & commenting on your work

backlit, horse, dartmoor, devon, uk, enhanced, dap

As a child my plane crashed in the Himalayas & I was raised by an advanced civilisation that taught me photography, ESP & precognition, no, wait that was the Champions wasn’t it?

Ah well, 50+ & getting more muddled by the day.

Hope you enjoy my work, and feel free to buy anything you like enough. :-)

One of the great books of literature, Boxer’s fate was so sad though. It would
be nice to think that this horse is carrying a new youngster soon to be born.
If you love horses read this newish book (came out in August this year) “The Eighty Dollar Champion” by Elizabeth Letts. It is a fabulous true story of raw talent and heart.
