Artist's Description

Statue of Tiberinus the River God, Piazza del Campidoglio, Rome
Tiberinus is a figure in Roman mythology. He was added to the 3000 rivers (sons of Oceanus and Tethys), as the genius of the river Tiber.
Tiberinus is also known as the river god who found the twins Romulus and Remus and gave them to the she-wolf Lupa (who had just lost her own cubs) to suckle. (Source Wiki)
Layered with my own canvas texture in Elements to bring out the texture in the stonework. Best viewed large.

Thanks to everyone who visits & comments on my work
Due to time constraints I’ve decided that I’ll not spend time just saying individual thanks when someone comments on my work. Far better I feel to spend time looking at their portfolio & enjoying & commenting on their work, by way of thanks for visting & commenting on my work.
Of course I’ll say thank you to our hardworking hosts when featured, and sometimes you just have to answer a question, but apart from that I’m in silent mode.
