In the Odyssey, Poseidon is notable for his hatred of Odysseus who blinded the god’s son, the cyclops Polyphemus. The anger of Poseidon prevents Odysseus’s return home to Ithaca for many years.

At one point he whipped up the sea, and caused a storm so severe that Odysseus was shipwrecked.

Found in the peeling flaking paint of of a funfair building.
