The word caracal comes from the Turkish word “karakulak”, meaning “black ear”. Although it has traditionally had the alternative names Persian Lynx, Egyptian Lynx and African Lynx, it is no longer considered to be an actual lynx. Instead, it is now believed to be closely related to the African golden cat and the Serval.
Wow, Dave this is stunning! Beautiful animal, where did you take this? This portrait is wonderful! I would lose my hand, but he makes me want to pet him… he he he

Beautiful image and write-up. Where you up in the tree? Just kidding, but this cat sure has his eyes clued to something up there. Barb
You’re not wrong Barbara. There was someone up a ladder flinging pieces of meat into his enclosure!
