Curious old Cuban Man looking out from residential window on the Callejon de hamel, Havana, Cuba

Any profits I earn from this image & all others in my portfolio on this site will go to St Peter’s Hospice

Many thanks to everyone who views my work. Comment if you wish, but I’m afraid I am unable to respond or reciprocate at this moment in time.

As a child my plane crashed in the Himalayas & I was raised by an advanced civilisation that taught me photography, ESP & precognition, no, wait that was the Champions wasn’t it?

Ah well, 50+ & getting more muddled by the day.

Hope you enjoy my work, and feel free to buy anything you like enough. :-)

i like how his hands really stand out in the light, almost like he’s desperate to get out but stuck in the dark…which gives sense to the title…and then when you look closer he does have a kind of pleading look?…i think maybe it’s more of an interesting, thought-provoking shot than one that would have commercial success, but i really like this, made me look closer – when you say ‘residential window’ you mean just like a regular domestic house? could he be like a prisoner of domesticity?…

  • Hi Sarah,

    Thanks for your thoughtful remarks.

Yes it’s an ordinary house, but on the Callejon -De -Hamel, so the residents spend a lot of their time wondering why people are wandering around taking pictures of everything.

My bubblesite is a bit in need of maintenanace, but you can see what I mean here

He does look like a prisoner, Yep sure he wonders what about him caught your eye. Great capture!!

  • It’s quite a colourful street with murals painted everywher, so I think they’r bemused by all the interest.
