heart of love

In This the world as voices storm-shatter’d,
I was Not borne down by the wind’s blowing
Like darkness filled with fires.
Do I deserve your love?—But yes, I wonder;
For Love doth use us for a sound of song,
And Love’s meaning our life feels
Making our souls like syllables to the Gong

Dare I have this one humble unto me?
Was it not enough, Stars, to have given me

men grow not insolent
Yea, and in me insolent groweth my love;
Like jarred glass my power shattered about me,
,Do I deserve that love?—But yes, I wonder;
For what am I that the violence has swallowed me
I am woman, thou art GOD
Out of mere bounty are we loved of you,
And not for our deserving. We are to sit
In a high calm, and not go down and help
Among the toil, and choosing, chosen, find
Companionship therein.
Has such a treasure in his heart of love,
It must be squandered out in charity,
A trick
for love has abandoned me
and see
Of generous GOD will enrich me

About his love? But we will blink at that.
Yet sometimes we are liked ashamed, to be
Taking so much love from you,
Now therefore tell me, Father,my king, my master:
how do you rather love

Thus, by loves magic power,
All dark shadows passed away,
The golden light for ever lay.
The “Power of Love,” by gentle deeds
