We stayed up for days at a time. Drinking, smoking, singing and dancing.
What a family we had formed..A family that could show the world what Love really was. What partnership and pride really looked like.
We were brought together to learn..
We were brought together to laugh..
To learn how to survive in this world.
Separate the boys from the men.
With us..woman and men were equal. We held each others hands like we would never let go.
Danced until the sun came up. We did, we did..
Sang until the moon lit the roofs as we took shots under shooting stars.
Our life’s seemed to be perfect..
Our freedom hid behind hidden memories..
We were free..floating on thin air,as we breathed the smoke of pain..
Mary Jane was here to stay..
Years went by..we showed the world how to party like rock stars.
Our little world. The world, our family, had.. created..
Red eyes glazed over to a new type of humanity.
Some laid speechless with scars in their hearts.
And soon enough,we slowly grew apart.
By 2009 We said good bye.
For some, our stories continue around and around in a vicious circle.
For others, the memories of a lifetime are written behind closed eyes.
Water is thicker then blood…
Well for those couple of years,I truly believed that is was.
I smile at our pictures, and still,to this day our freedom and fearless hearts astonish me..
But at night I hear the silence that we never once heard.
Peace and understanding to all the questions unanswered.
Questions rolled off our tongues at 4 am,with liquor stained lips and sailor mouths. We drank till we smoked and danced till we drank.
Then one day I woke up.
And soon enough,I grew tired of it all..and my “Family” had diminished into a foggy background.
We were once strangers. Met by fate to tell a story.
Each led to it’s own path. Roads less traveled revealed a light that only few could ignore..For those few I wish the best..For the rest I wish good luck.
We had a good run of it.
We had some good times…
Sometimes it’s hard to think about…the million dollar smiles on our faces.
I used to believe could out do the sun.
A short writing about a couple groups of friends that had gotten together and partied till the sun came up.
Each holding a hidden pain inside of them. Each in love with the ride…
How in the end some took a turn into a different life as others stayed “free”
They moved on through out the years and this is only one of their stories.
