Artist's Description

Picture taken in the hills of Cebu, Philippines.
The Philippines is one of many “3rd World” Nations, many people work a full day for as little as $1 US Dollar = 50 Philipine Pesos.
These little huts line the hills and streets of the Philippines, hand made from what eve they can find, the people that live in these houses are some of the poorest in the Philippines, their daily Diet consits of the fruit in the trees and the rice and corn that they grow. If their lucky they will come accross a few Pesos to buy a chicken or a pig, and raise it, so they can have a big meal for their family on a special occasion.

The reason I entitled this picture “The Reality” is because I like most people thought like most people.
That it’s a lush Tropical Island, a few major cities like Manila, and people had no cares in the world, because they lived off the tourism.
But the reality is These are the poorest people I have ever seen, shure they seem happy living a small quaint life, because that is all they have, and they are happy to be alive.
The truth is they struggle to stay alive, they go hungry almost every day, most children dont even get to go to school because their family cant afford public school.
