Torn and Tattered but still Standing Strong
A true testiment to the will and power of the USA.
This old flag in Galena, Alaska has been weathered, torn and tattered but still stands tall and porud. Much like the US after the events of September 11, 2001.
Taken September 11, 2007.
A Strong symbol of America and our srtong will to surivie despite the hostle environment that surronds our country.

What a gorgeous shot! I’ve got a series I’ve taken of U.S. flags, and shoot them whenever I can. This has so much character and is so evocative of everything you mention here and more. Well captured!

Very powerful image. Would look stunning with increased exposure, contrast and saturation, unless you left the grey film look on purpose which is fine too! :)

I love the U.S.A! I visit as often as I can…....I am Proud to be Canadian but I also share a sense of pride for the states. When you are the biggest and the best people like to point the finger of blame….....
I agree with your synopsis of your photo…...the states always bounces back and remains strong and United…....never bows under pressure of the unpopular, after the fact point of views.
This image is sad with an immense sense of pride attached…...I love it!
