full moons and amulets
runes scattered in the grass
calling for divinity
the trinity of man
long are the days
to seek perdition
in ancient ways
on clouds so thin
they pass the light
we make such solemn vows
coarsing through the midnight air
in hopes that time allows
a respite from redemption
a promise left unsaid
to walk in gossamer rainments
unseen amongst the dead
liquid silver runs in streams
through landscapes wrought in dreams
to wrap around the necks of saints
old viziers to the schemes
false piety
noblesse oblige
bonfires in the mist
harbingers of futures
held with iron fists
who dares to shed this ball and chain
forged on anvils of despair
rise above the muck and mire
embrace the final dare
dancing with false demons
to an orchestra of fear
oblivious to the obvious
paradise is here
hidden by a sadness
draped amongst the trees
voices sound in madness
found floating in the breeze
born in caves upon the cliffs
of time and circumstance
these final hours of waiting
for truth to have a chance

To create such a paradise not in some ethereal hereafter but right here and now with sacred connection and sharing the light. “Who dares to shed this ball and chain?” You do dear heart – and where you lead others will follow your haunting voice of truth. isn’t it interesting I just lit some Fred Soll’s incense, then opened this page, and for some reason perhaps the ebb and the flow, the change and the changelings, even the rhythm of how it is written perhaps with drums beating in the background, all created from this unique ability you have to create atmosphere, transport the reader to another place.. so inspiring!

i want to walk in gossamer rainments too – but i fear they are made only for the soft air of the present, and i visit there so rarely (and can stay for such a short time). your words revive in me the desire to visit those lands again, to try to stay longer. what a poet you are!
