the smoke of you
curls past my page
i breathe
spring rain and laughter
a quiet strength
to weaken knees
wandering in the wonder
earthbound angel
on butterfly wings
brought ebony eyes
to touch the braille
inside
smoothed away
by a sly caress
the shadow of a promise
billows in the air
trapping the perfume
of sweet tomorrows
