Oh my what a powerful image this is sweet man – gossip, rumor, innuendo, assumption – all being whispered about in secret. This interpretation is just so amazing – so many ways to read it and experience it. Brilliant work, dear Butch – your “masks” have grown on me and never more so than here! Love you!

The design of this series is fabulous. I love the composition and muted color. It also is a skill to make a point in this fashion. It shows a high degree of control and skill.

this touches me butch.. i’ve experienced more then once how groups of people can talk about others assuming what they heard is how it is… instead of cheking with the person involved it really is as they heard… and i’ve seen ( and felt it for myself) how it can hurt the ones involved.

It never amazes me how seriously some people take rumour and gossip. It’s almost as if it’s become one of the most influential and reliable sources of information. The other thing that amazes me are the stories that are concocted and spread around that are actually adopted by people as fact with no reliale source. Then again without that narrow mindedness we would not have the fantastic influence over us we call “Religon”... COUGH COUGH!. Excuse me. :D

Oh, b! You have hit the nail on the head here. This speaks to me in a big way. All my life, I have been the victim of gossip and I bet you have too. I can never understand how people can just go along with something someone says without checking it out or examining the motives of the one spreading it around.

I had not seen the relation between the title and the masks…
Poorly… I have proyected another item from myself… and treid to put into order the three gaping mouths.. that seemed to do something other than opening the calumny cloud.
They seem to dancce around an invisible issue….
and this one has been trapped… without being able to a safeguard ..

It has been difficult for me… not knowing what was coming from my mind. I usually write what I see.. really feel as forms and action of such forms… and I have been surprised of what it had come… specially because this picture has been in “stock” dring months, wwaiting for its right time for being “talked”.. thank you so much… have a warm hug)

it has a very haunting quality- the ‘missing” elements that make up true relating- the masks we wear and then only vaguely making direct connection to another- very thoughful piece.
