powerful image B, and very true about life, but, it is the borders we put around ourselves that are the most dangerous ones :)

  • butchart replied

thank you Marina.. and a great point…. when does self preservation cross the line and become self harm…..how open can we be …. lots to think about eh???

Fences are erected to protect individuals from the problems outside the borders – geographically, emotionally, and physically. The problems don’t go away, they simply find means of scaling the walls…. which grow higher in response, sharper, and meaner.. Beautiful shot and insights my friend.

  • butchart replied

thank you brad…. do our own fences arise from running into societal/cultural fences? how can we as unique individuals protect ourselves and at the same time open our selves to new experiences and energies? when does self preservation become self harm….......

Wow Butch my dearest – that barbed wire is the most incredibly powerful statement! Borders, divisions, bias, disagreements – so much separates us from each other when just the opposite should be true. Phenomenal image my sweet friend- very compelling!!!

  • butchart replied

ahh … nobody says what’s in their heart better than you… or writes a better comment… thank you so much… i love you…....b

Very powerful image and description. Even in so called free countries; people in positions of power do not like freedom. It undermines their position and makes them like the rest of us.

What is the saying? Power corrupts…......

  • butchart replied

thank you my firend.. and i appreciate your insight… i think the saying should include “and the corrupt take power”...........b

And there are more and more of them popping up all the time. Thank goodness we have the net to allow some of us to jump over them without too much trouble. I can’t slip between the barbed wire b,but I can see that there’s a gap….and where there’s a gap, there’s a chance….

  • butchart replied

thank goodness indeed mel…. i treasure being able to view and enjoy all of the incredibly talented visionaries around the globe…..... and thank you …...b

I personally feel that borders are becomming to easy of a tool to isolate society in their “pidgeon posts.” Because of politics, religion and racial discrimination too many barriers are being made to seperate instead of intergrate. If there were a more physiological ideal, and simplier lifestyle I think the need for borders would be less then now in this richly materialistic world.

    Thought provoking Butch.
    Andrew

  • butchart replied

i couldn’t agree more andrew… we need to look at each other as individuals again.. face to face…... heart to heart…...... not checkbook to checkbook.. nor bible to holy word….......... thank you my friend…...b
