Hello & Welcome to my Gallery;

I am an amateur photographer, residing in the small town of Carleton Place, which is about 37 Km west of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

My passion for photography was first aroused during the local Great Gray Owl invasion year (Winter of 2004/05). It was then (with a Canon S1 IS) that I wanted to capture the beauty of these wonderful owls. Needless to say; I was hooked!

Within a year I upgraded equipment to a Canon 20D with various lenses; then again about 1½ year later to the 30D and a couple more lenses. Finally in 2010; I made the incredible move to a Canon Mark IV…WOW! What a machine…So much to learn!

My main interest is birds; but I am starting to incorporate other nature/wildlife into my viewfinder. I don’t get out nearly as much as I should; but will be concentrating on improving that facet of my hobby.
