To My Dear Little Mobile Phone in its Delightful Case That Was a Present From My Dear Rachael

Where oh where has my little phone gone
Oh where oh where can it be
Its not on the table or under the chair
Has it tried all it’s life to be free

My sadness has gone after so many months
Do you think that it thinks of past times
But something I know so deep in my heart
Is that somewhere it’s hiding its chimes

And one day it’s call will ring out so clear
My dear little phone will come home
I wonder from where, from far or from near
The familiar ringing will come

It’s happened, it’s happened, oh what a suprise
I certainly never would guess
It was in father’s wash bag along with the soap
And the flannel, to add to the mess

Soon we’ll be joined, perhaps never to part
As the Post Office carries it hence
Being united will bring such joy since our parting
I won’t even consider the pence
