It is often said that there are no straight lines in nature. This is generally true, however, I’m sure scientists will find the odd exception such as crystals.

This work began as a vector drawing of a celtic knot. I played with several ideas and spent many tedius hours on Illustrator trying to get curves in the exact spot. Finaly, I decided to go with a post-modern concept – the barcode.

After I finished my illustration, I found that there were some great barcode parodies on google images. Have a look yourself.

Of all the things I’ve seen done to a upc code, this is the best!

  • Thanks Ingrid. I’ve put many hours into this one and have played with quite a few ideas. So I appreciate the compliment.
