There was an old woman

There was an old woman

There was an old woman
Lived under a hill
And if she isn’t gone
She lives there still

This is my illustration of a very old English poem (probably from the 1600s). I like the mysterious and alusive connotations of the poem.

Arthur Rackham is one of my favourite illustrators has also illustrated this poem.
