Lobo Mexicano (Mexican Gray Wolf) by

The wolf picture is from one of my many visits with my daughter to Brookfield Zoo, Illinois. All the wolves in this pack are male and are labeled with a number. I really wanted to name this guy but I just couldn’t come up with anything. So, I settled for the Spanish translation for Mexican Wolf.

This piece is a digital “mixed media.” The photo was manipulated and enhanced using Painter brushes and canvas textures. The rock wall was sculpted and painted using Zbrush and Photoshop. Finally, all elements were pieced together with Photoshop.

Truly a sensitive work of art. Your admiration for the Wolf is very evident, Burke. This is excellent! Skye :o-)

  • Thank you. I really enjoyed working on this. The actual photo was a bit blurry, so I now have a ton of research pics for my next project.
