When I work with fractals such as these, I love the white background the best. You be wondering why, so I will tell you. There is hidden information in the fractal images our eyes don’t see. So I burn the light areas to make them pop out. This a a method I have used for many years with Apophysis images. It gives them a sense of depth and passion. A feeling of altered realities. :o)

Created in Apophysis 7X and Photoshop.

Wonderful creation Bunny. I’ve done both black and white backgrounds. The white seems to have a purity to it and the black makes the fractal seem to come out of the dark.

  • That is exactly why I like them as well. They have more secrets on the white. :o) Then over saturate and it pops. :o) Thank you James.

Wow! :-) Did you mean Burn then Inverse or Inverse then Burn? I’m konfouzed. Beautiful! :-)

  • On a white background, you burn until something pops out. Or to deepen shadows. If it had been on black, I would have used the dodge tool at 30% and brought out the image. :o)
