There is something about the camaraderie of two cats in a home. When I saw these two, I asked Larry Davis for a chance to paint them. He rescued these two little cuties a while back. :o) Thank you Larry.

When my cute silver tabbies like these with the pink Pink PINK noses would sleep and cuddle on the lawn like this I’d get a fur needle (from the white pine trees that grew on the property) and quietly sneak up to them and touch just the very inside of their nostril and it would set them off sneezing. (I’m terrible but I was a kid and there’s very little to do in northern Wisconsin, and I just had to be part of that cuteness some how.) They’d partially wake up, look at me and try to figure out what happened. Then I’d pick em up and squeeze em til they squeaked. Sigh. They really tolerated me more then they should have. God I miss them. (thanks for the memory, really means a lot to me)

  • LOL! Yeah, I am amazed what cats will put up with. Thank you Golly. I appreciate your wonderful comment. :o)

Great work, Bunny! I wish my cats would do that. Our Siamese cats when I was growing up all snuggled together but none of my rescue cats do.

  • I think it is a matter of when they are introduced and what mood they are in. Coco and Sugar do occasionally. Funny girls. The rescue cats haven’t built the trust type of relationship to cuddle. Thank you hon. :o)

    Oh, yes, a real ‘smiler’!
One of the cats that I have had, and the first time he knew what the sound of a can opener meant, came running from the living room into the kitchen and tried a sharp turn on the lenolium floor. He ‘lost it’ and slid about ten feet and hit the back door. Like all cats, he got up, looked around to see if anyone had seen him, then sat down to lick himself as if nothing had happened. He then casually walked over to the food bowl and began to eat.
That’s how he got his name: Scooter!

    Wonderful work Bunny! :-)

  • Thank you Peter. Great way to get a name. Coco wouldn’t answer to anything at first. Then I said something about hot cocoa and here she was. I tried it a couple more times and yep, she was there. :o)

Our cats hug like that, then the next minute, they’re fighting! Very beautiful work Bunny!

  • My two used to and stopped. Now they sleep next to each other and that is it. Thank you James. :o)
