The little Allens Hummingbirds were all about the place at Dana Point Harbor. They are difficult to distinguish from the Rufous Hummingbirds, but these were so tiny it was easy to see. Their bodies are not much bigger than my thumb, barely two inches in length, not counting their beak. There were about six pairs flitting around the Aloe Vera blooming right now. Such a treat for a Sunday morning walk :o)
