We all think of other days in the past as being better than they are now. It’s mainly because we have selective memory and remember only the things that please us most. Human nature. Sometimes I see animals like these intelligent little monkeys and apes and wonder if their memory is similar or if they are just bored. :o)

Created in ArtRage on my iPad and some post work in Photoshop. I had some requests to show some of my sketches like I might do prior to painting. Of course I wouldn’t use the red grease pencil like you see here, but I thought it might be fun to show some of the details like I might use in my sketches.

    Nice!! . . .
I certainly agree about the selective memory thing. When I hear people complain about how bad it is in the world today, I kind of wish that I could send them back 50+ years so they could experience the difference. I’m sure it would give them a completely different perspective . . .

  • I agree wholeheartedly. My grandparents told me how they survived the depression. It sounded like a nightmare to me, but you know, they were actually happy. They had their family and they were together. They always felt if you made the best of what you had, your life would be much better. :o) Thank you Hugh.
