As a child I used to watch, without fail, each and every leg of the Kentucky Derby sets. That is what I called them, even though it wasn’t quite accurate. While I don’t watch them much any more, I still like to keep up with what’s going on and which one looks the most promising. Dreams are made and shattered in one race. That is all it takes. High stakes in each and every one. I did three of these images a while ago, so I’m posting them a bit late, because like others, I was hoping for a Triple Crown winner this year. This particular image was to give the feeling of speed and movement. :o)

Created starting with a sketch in ArtRage on my iPad, then painted there. I finished the work in Photoshop. Total time took about 3.5 hours.

animals, horses, racing, impressionistic, dreams, illusions, fantasy

I try to create images that will touch your heart or soul and make them go “twang”. Eye candy for the soul is my goal. :o)
