Pearls are an interesting phenomenon. You take a grain of sand and stick into an oyster and the irritant causes the oyster to create a nacra of beautiful coating around the grain. So many colors too. The sheen or luster is soft and beautiful. I can think of a few irritants that would make lovely pearls. Exes. Yup. You read it right. I know some of you would agree too. Turn that nasty irritant into something beautiful and useful. Although, I’m not sure what I would do with a large pearl like that. I couldn’t wear it. Hmmm. Maybe I could sell it on eBay. :o)
