When I was traveling, I often would stop by the old Civil War and Revolutionary War sites. I always got the feeling I was walking on the bones of our forgotten heroes. I’m sure it is the case no matter where the site of fighting takes place. A stillness of the area. Sometimes a feeling of great sorrow. A debt of gratitude for some. Anger for others. I finally get to share some of those moments with my sweetie. We have always gone to those areas alone, but this fall we plan to do a tour in Virginia for the colors and the Civil War sites. Sharing the feelings and moments of these beautiful areas. Until then… :o)

Wonderful bulb work Bunny. Lots of those sites in Virginia. Md too! Point Lookout in Md was a civil war concentration camp for captured confederate soldiers and many of them perished because of a plague.
We may get to that too. I wanted to be sure we went across the Skyline Highway overlooking the Shenandoah Valley. It was gorgeous when I was there several years ago. :o) Thank you James.
