Love in the beginning is very intense. Then it gentles and matures. Many couples think they have lost interest when they aren’t still full of passion and the frenetic energy of love like in the beginning. They find out later, they gave up the very thing they wanted. That deep and mature love. Knowing what the other person likes and what they know you like. The comfortable togetherness. Of course, without the first part, we might not ever get to the last part. :o)
Created in ArtRage on my iPad. I did this based on several sketches that I combined into one from a trip to the San Diego Zoo, San Diego, CA. I finished the work in Photoshop.

You did an incredible job on this one. The light sparkles on their paws and muzzles make them flash in that little bit of winter sun peeking through the clouds. Gorgeous painting.
Thank you my dear friend. One more and I have the Love Is… calendar done. Whew. :o)

Playful and marvellous! Your words often touch on things that I’m reflingting on presently… A lot of us long for the comfortable togertherness, but crave the excitment of the beginning! Reminds me too of the pink cloud that an addict first experiences in the early months of abstinence. Both are needed for the new bond!
Yes, they are. We need to grow into our more mature roles within relationships. The changes are well worth the investments. Thank you sweetie. :o)
