They say that things are etched in stone, but I also think they are in memory as well. Remembering the good things as well as the bad. No one enjoys bad things, but they do help to develop our character as we learn to overcome those events. No one can tell me they have had worse times so they cannot forgive or recover. I am living proof, if you have the will, you can recover from anything. Just pull of those bootstraps and put on a smile. Fake it until you make it. It sounds cheesy, but it works. Bad events give a sense of empathy for others. The kind where we can help others to find the path to recovery. So, when darkness knocks at your door, let it in and deal with it. Running does no good. I like the texture you’ve put in this. It gives it a nice painterly feel. Great abstract. Love the bright yellow with the earthy hues.

  • Thank you Debi. It was pretty without the textures, but they brought out some of the flow of lines so nicely. :o)

I really like the design, colours and textures of this. Perhaps it symbolises the burning away of the bad things.

  • You hit the nail on the head Jan. Thank you. :o)

I agree with the textures bringing out the flow of the lines. The whole piece just conveys so much motion.

  • I’m glad you liked this Debi. Thank you again. :o)

I love the line from Alfred the butler to Bruce Wayne:
“Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.”
Love the liquid heat in this, like watching a video of the guy making marbles one at a time.

  • Thank you Syd. You are right. We learn more from falling than by not having anything happen at all. :o)
