Love. Many of us spend a good portion of our lives seeking the “perfect” object of our desires. The person who we would like to be a part of our lives. We forget we are not perfect sometimes and that can often color our decisions in dealing with matters of the heart. Our expectations are raised so high, we cannot see the person we really want or need. Because we are too tied up in those expectations.

I’m not saying we should not have goals or an idea of who we would like to be part of our lives. After several failed relationships, I sat down and made a list of all the things I disliked about those relationships. I then made a list of the things I did like. I took the negatives and flipped them into the positives then I started looking for a person who met the majority of those criteria. It took me about 12 years and a move to California, but I found him. So don’t lose hope. That love is out there. :o)
