Mom Told Me There Would Be Days Like This! by

I got the biggest kick out of watching this Yellow Headed Blackbird. He was out on a single cattail first, then wanted to see what we were doing and came back down the stalk and ended up doing the splits. Not only was he beautiful, but funny too. :o)

Taken with a Canon Powershot SX10 IS at Bear River Bird Sanctuary near Brigham City, Utah.

heheh, nice shot, pretty bird, never seen one…

  • This was my first capture of them. I had seen them several times in Colorado and Northern California, but was never able to get a picture. :o)

Oh this is so funny…poor thing…did he get out of this precarious predicament without falling into the water?? Amazing capture!!

  • He did get out of the predicament. They crawl around on the reeds on a regular basis. Very acrobatic. Thank you Heather. :o)
