Childhood Dreams - The Underwater Adventure II by

The Deep has many secrets and many things to fear. One of them is the Great White Shark. Now Snarky isn’t quite your scariest shark, but he does have a certain appeal for those who want a bit more adventure than the seahorses or mermaids. :o)

Created from a sketch, painted in Photoshop with natural media brushes and my impressionistic style. This had 4 layers and took about 3 hours to paint.

he looks a bit hung over, what was he doing last night?
looks like fun, he should hang around the surf spots, save the guys the long paddle back out. nice image

  • I will never tell what Snarky was doing last night. You know how Sharks are. They find out you told on them and they will take a bite out of you that won’t quit. ;o) Thank you my friend. :o)

Heh heh, I might have avoided this ride as a kid, but not now, you just gave me a great idea for a natural history carousel, the Food Chain Carousel, where each ride is chasing but not quite catching it’s lunch in front of it, kind of a “circle of life” carousel. I must think the details through…

  • OOOOooooo! Great idea Syd. I can hardly wait to see it. :o)

Wow, magnificent Bunny! I love the textures in the blue! I think all boys are fascinated with the shark!

  • LOL! It’s the sense of danger they like. ;o) Thank you Kim.

Great piece. The water has an almost Van Gogh feel to it.

  • That is who I was taught to emulate the most. Van Gogh and Monet. They are actually the to styles I like best. Thank you. :o)
