On the Path (Repost) by Bunny Clarke

This is a repost of my original image. The lesson from this is… DO NOT do ANY BULK EDITS. The images disappear. I lost all comments and features.

On one of our weekend walks, we had the wonderful experience of meeting up with a young male bobcat male. He just sauntered down the path we were on without a care in the world. He came about three feet from me and I just kept snapping pictures, but had to get this portrait image of this handsome fellow. As it turns out, the USGSA tracks the whole family by their markings. They have the images and movie now in their posession as part of their study. What an exciting experience this was. :o)

If you would like to see the movie my honey took of this lovely creature, you can view it at:

It really shows how relaxed this lovely little character was.

You are pretty brave getting so close..but it was well worth it..this gorgeous animal is so nice of you to share this picture..Sherri :)

  • We stood still and let him do his thing. When in this situation, it is the safest to do. Now, if this had been a bigger animal like a bear or mountain lion, my reaction would have been much different. This guy was not aggressive in any way, so that is what made this so wonderful. Thank you for stopping by. :o)

I cannot believe you have these wonderful creatures in the wild, how wonderful.

    Great shot.
  • We live in a wildlife corridor that snakes through the residential and commercial areas. It is awesome what we get to see from time to time. Thank you Malcolm. :o)

Oh no! You did the same thing I did. That bulk edit thing is disastrous!!!!! So sorry you lost everything for this wonderful shot. It’s great!

  • When I saw your post, I checked out and didn’t see anything amiss until I went to enter a challenge. I knew then what had happened. Sigh… good lesson. Thank you. :o)

There are lots of forested areas around here, while heading to the hiway a year ago I spotted a bobcat running across the road in front of me, not 2 miles from here. I can see red tailed hawks in my backyard, foxes, canadian geese, I love the nature around here, not bad for urban suburbs! Not sure what bulk edits are, but I’ll take your tip.

  • I think living close to nature is one of the perks of living. I love seeing the creatures in their habitats and in mine. The interaction isn’t always successful, but it sure gives some great experiences. :o)

Awesome shot, wonderful details and the eye contact speaks! Thanks for the info Bunny! I’ve deleted items too using bulk edit! I think your only reason should be if you decide to leave!

  • I agree with your reason for using the Bulk Edit. Thank you for stopping by. :o)
