Many Moons Ago by Bunny Clarke

Many Moons Ago by

As a child I loved to listen to stories about how others lived when they were children. One of those people was an old Cherokee Indian who worked as a cowpuncher, sometimes rustler. I would ask many questions during the telling, but his stories were always patiently told with answers. He always started his story with “Many Moons Ago…”. There was one day he told me that the Many Moons would one day stack up in the sky because I asked for so many stories and asked many questions. I always thought that was a funny thought and then here it popped out at me. Now it’s real and it’s here for everyone to see. :o)

Created in Apophysis 7X with postwork in Photoshop to add levels, saturation, contrast and flood. Some digital painting to increase the depth of the shadows as well. This particular flame is heavy on the Julia component in its design.

Funny that you used the same title as my recent work and they are so different from one another. This is very interesting and unique work Bunny. :)

  • You had one the same title? I have to go back and look again. As for being different… well, that is me you know. ;o) Thank you my friend.

Does the teller enrapture us with the story – or does the story enrapt the teller to where he is lost in the telling? A terrific creation!!!!. Bill

  • I have always thought of the teller wrapping us in a warm blanket and as we warm, the warmth seeps in as the story. Never a loss. Always an extra. :o)
