Many of us go through life with a wall around us. A wall to deflect the pain of others knowing us better due to feeling if they knew us, they would think us to be as despicable, untalented, lazy, or fill in the blank. How would I know this? I had built the wall of China around myself for many years. Being an overachiever, I never felt my work was good enough for anyone to see. Sometimes I still feel that way. The problem with walls is they can become a siege-like protection. Keeping us from knowing love, friendship, caring and knowledge. I had to remove each brick one at a time before I could let all of the things I wanted most to come into my life. The process can take years. Never give up on yourself. :o)
