I have always been a newshound. I don’t always get my news from one source, but from many. Because of that, I feel many times I get a better picture of what is going on in the world. As I watch the middle east and other parts of the world, I often wonder why people feel it is necessary to kill innocents. To make a point? To have a feeling of self satisfaction? I have to admit, I don’t get it. It isn’t just the middle east that has problems going on, it is that the news concentrates on them first and most. Other places in the world have just as many problems, but they are not portrayed in the same way. It’s all in perception. :o)

Peace is in pieces. I remember reading that there is less fighting now than in previous centuries but it doesn’t feel that way. Love the tones in this.

  • Probably because we have better communications now. We hear more because it’s all nearly instantaneous. :o) Thank you Tina. :o)

great work Bunny – I think it’s because of All Quaida and 9/11…Their hatred for American is relentless, but I agree, we need to hear about more of the world – after all we are all a part of it!! :)

  • We are all a part of it. I still hear Rodney King’s voice saying “Can’t we all just get along?” :o) Thank you Polly.

The media always presents the news as big money and politicians want it.
They have no interest in what we of the non influential rabble want to know.
Only what they believe we should know!!!! A terrific creation!!! Bill

  • Media just rolls with what they think will drive the ratings which equal $$$$ (imagine the sound of jackpot on a slot machine). That is why I started reading from more of a world route to see what other countries were saying about us and comparing those stories. It’s amazing what you learn. :o) Thank you Bill.

Yes indeed Bunny there is trouble everywhere you would think we have learned lessons from the past maybe there was more fighting in the past we hear about it now instantly through the media but this is different this more global then before.

  • Every generation thinks that they can re-invent the wheel and the outcome will be different. Instead of learning from history. Amazing. Thank you Renate. :o)
