For many years after my husband died, I kept my heart hidden away. Really, I was afraid to make the same mistakes over again. I found as I healed, I had learned a lot about myself and what I truly wanted in life. It is a work in progress as we out and live. We have no users manuals, but there are sure a lot of books pretending to tell you what they think. The first step is accepting yourself and learning to like, then love yourself. Easier said than done. Once I had finally come to that point, I met my honey. We are still together after nearly 16 years. There is hope. Don’t ever give up. :o)

Those who have experienced such moments in life discover that “spring” has new meaning in the phrase, “Love springs eternal”. Rah-yeah! Thanks for sharing, Bunny. :-)))))

    wonderful picture, heart-opening story …
Carlos Santana once said about music: there just are two sorts / classes of music: soulful and not soulful music. – Analogical I would say: your pictures really belong to the soulful category!

  • Why thank you. Especially since Santana is one of my favorite groups. :o)

The heart like many other things can be over protected!!! An excellent piece!!! Bill

  • Yes it can be. Too much protection and you do not live the life you were meant to live. :o) Thank you Bill.
