There are times when you see something that you have to draw or photograph immediately. Otherwise, the memory is a faded thought of what you saw. When I saw Krys Bailey’s capture of Casper, I knew I wanted to do his image. Thank you Krys for giving me this opportunity.
Since Casper is a white lion, he had a lot of blue and lavender highlights to his face instead of greens and russets. I chose my pastel brushes in Photoshop CC to create this image. There were 8 layers and took about 5 hours to complete. You can see the original image that Krys took here:
