When I feel overwhelmed by events of pure evil and stupidity, I can only ask for love and healing. Not so much for myself, but those made victims of someone else’s actions. The world must look like a pretty scary place to the children growing up more than it did when I was a child. I grew up during the Cold War with doing the drill of hiding under our desks for a nuclear attack protection. Little did we know it would not really help us, but it made us feel like we had a little more control over what happened to us. About all we can do is tell our kids to be alert and aware of their surroundings and people acting strangely. It won’t really help them if someone takes a notion to hurt them or others around them. It may make them feel better though. Fear is about lack of control over our environment. Given tools, they will at least have something to use to help themselves. First Aid classes are a great way to help that feeling of being able to do something to help them. Just a thought. :o)

When I reach that limit Bunny, I try and remember that I am exactly where ‘they’ want me. That is they whose evil and stupidity causes this dismay to appear at all. The best way to overcome this, I’ve always found, is simply to step back at this point and say ’I’m not letting them get to me’. To imagine what it would be like to be such a horrible and deliberate individual makes us realise that there is no need for us to be upset by them, because it is them all over who should be feeling so gross, for what they are. Getting over these feelings is part of the fight we all find ourselves unwittingly involved in – against everything about truly grotesque people. In close proximity to the likes of, it is momentary between feeling some kind of nausea, and whoever is responsible for it feeling that instead. I mean when you refuse to be overtaken by self-defeating feelings, and project them back to where they come from. These are echoes of others anguish.
So much could be done to make life safer and more bearable for everyone, it does still infuriate me how much some people are allowed to get away with, and it always will as long as they always do. I await the day when things begin to change to some significant degree, but I can’t hold my breath.
Another lovely picture Bunny, with so much to think about. Peace, Love and Understanding. (war can’t give life, it can only take away life)

  • I think what bothers me, is the danger children have to learn to grow up with. It’s hard enough then we have these idiots who pull the stunts they do. Trying to hurt, maim and kill others. People who did nothing to those who perpetrated the crime. Thank you my friend. :o)

I agree with you Bunny. I grew up in a completely different world than the one the children of today grow up in. Danger exists everywhere they turn and I am sorry for them to grow up this way. To kill or hurt another person you don’t even know is something I can’t even comprehend! You work is very beautiful my friend!

  • Thank you so much James. The people at this site are all so wonderful. Like you. :o)

This is brilliant Bunny , When I was growing up, there was unity between everybody, now there is nothing

  • Thank you Malcolm. I know what you mean. I used to ride my bike for hours by myself and never had to worry about anything. Often I was up to 30 miles from home. :o)
