It is not so much that they are tame, this fellow was just relaxed. There are a lot of people on the weekends at the sanctuary, since its a huge Audobon site. Respect is the key with these fellows. We made sure he didn’t feel challenged or blocked from where he was sauntering off to. If he had shown any aggression, I can guarantee, the pictures we got, would not have been taken. He was about 3 feet away from me. It was an amazing experience.

I probably would have been concerned if he had been somewhat aggressive. He just wanted to get by us and do his thing. Sometimes, that is all it takes to get these kinds of pics. :o)
