Born to Serve
In the not too distant future, we may have beings who are not born as we are. They may be those born of science from birthing vats. How will those beings be treated by humankind? As slaves or as objects to be owned and treated as pleased? Will these beings have feelings as we do? Or will they be simply a machine? Will this type of machine have beliefs? Something to think about. :o)
Created in Apophysis 7X. Postwork in Photoshop to create composite image. The face is from a photo I took and combined with the fractal image by turning the head of a statue and transforming/warping to get the perspective I needed.

Your design expresses very well the concept. It’s fantastic. I too am scared by what will happen of this comes to reality.
Bunny Clarke replied
It’s the ethics I worry about more than anything. I think growing up with the likes of the authors in science fiction that I did, is what really has shaped my thinking in this area. :o)

This is an instant favorite, Bunny! And all good questions, some have tried to answer it in the movies ” I,Robot” , and “A.I.”, and my personal favorite “WALLE”. If you haven’t seen all of those, I recommend!
Bunny Clarke replied
Yes, seen all 3. Great movies. ;o) I am glad you like this. This is the kind of art I dreamed of creating when I started fractals. I love it when a plan comes together. Thank you for the fav. :o)

Wonderful, Try to see the old German silent movie ‘Metropolis’, 1927 by Fritz Lang about the workers being enslaved by a caste of capitalist inteligencia and the evil robot they have inventrd. Out of your imagination you have recreated the robot image but more contemporary. unbelievable, stunning

This one is kind of creepy and beautiful rolled into one….i like it!!!
Bunny Clarke replied 8 days ago
Thank you Dennis. You should see the newest version of this “Beware of Those Born to Serve”. This one was a composition of a fractal that looked like a body to me and a head of a statue (angel in fact) I had taken a picture of. The face was the wrong angle, so I use the perspective tool in Photoshop and rotated it. The texturing was done by using the cloning stamp to get the design on the face to match the body. :o)

Adobe Photoshop has these features to create these kind of artworks?
Bunny Clarke replied 8 days ago
You have the world at your feet for possibilities with most of the image editing programs. Paintshop Pro, Photoshop, and a few others. There are some freebies out there, but they don’t always have the tools I wanted. I’ve had Photoshop since 4.0 so I am used to it. Painter is another one used a lot too.

I’m absolutely floored with this artwork…stunning.
Bunny Clarke replied 6 days ago
I have been having a lot of fun with the fractal and image compositions. The last iteration is the Beware of Those Born to Serve. It is really a scary one. :o) Thank you Von.
