this is in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford CT. Monument to a Civil War General who died at 26 years old. Amazing detail in the wording in the folds of the flag, the sword, hat and belt. Sad.
I am a single mom and have lived in Connecticut my entire life. I have 4 Associates degrees and have started the process for a bachelor’s degree, finally! I am currently studying Italian. No matter where I am, my camera is close by. We recently added a Shiba Inu puppy to our family—lots of photo ops here. Yes MsLynn. The entire flag has ripples and writing as does every side of the tomb. There is also a cap, sword and belt on top of the flag. It was a great find. I was pretty amazed to see that this 26 year old was a general too.
