. He is very much part of the family and now is very spoilt which is a complete contrast to his former life of living in kennels with many other dogs and a life of strict routine and racing. Greyhound Adoption Program of Queensland
, most commonly referred to as Greyhound Adoption Program of Queensland G.A.P. is a non profit program run by volunteers and a project of The Greyhound Racing Authority of Queensland.
Their mission is to:
Find suitable, loving, long term homes for racing greyhounds whose careers have come to an end. Educate the public of the true Greyhound personality, remove misconceptions and mistaken views that many people have of this wonderful, gentle, majestic animal. Encourage a more positive image of the greyhound and to stimulate the public’s desire to own a Greyhound as a family pet. Prepare and assess the greyhounds suitability as a loving and loyal family pet. Give on going, long term support to the Greyhound and its new owners.
