Paul Chapman is a Kabbi Kabbi/Wakka Wakka Aboriginal artist from Eidsvold, Queensland From early childhood, we were taught our mother’s and father’s dreaming by creating drawings on the earth using natural materials we found around us. Before nightfall we erased our drawings and left the earth as we found it.
Our dreaming is about our connection to our Creator, Biralu, Spirit, the sky, land and water.To preserve the integrity of my paintings I use good quality acrylics on primed canvas. My style of dot painting I call earth seed painting. In following our custom I only paint when the sun comes up and before the sun goes down.
