you’ve been busy it seems. such fresh use of color and the baby? bird sums up the ‘new life’ feeling given in this painting. i like how the abstracted bird complements the more recognizable bird in the foreground. clever work joh. i like it very much.

thanks andrea, the baby bird has grown his first feathers, i think birds look a bit like dinosaurs when they are young slightly ugly ha ha, its a bit like life really once our feathers have grown we shed and get a new set, a clean set and we start all over again. Thanks for your comment i didn’t realise there was an abstract bird in the backround but now looking at it there is

i find it interesting that you didn’t know there was an abstracted bird in the background interesting it shows that you have created it naturally out of an instinct for the painting…fascinating.

i know this one but just wanted to let you know that i think it’s brilliant too- i dunno what it is – it reminds of a radio head song- cos it’s cutting but flattened and it protrays the rediculous – from an intelligent point of view but doesn’t take away from the subjects sweet, simpleness, or your initial impression of it – just the whole thing has intregity and strength and a sort of back footed, i don’t care if you get or you don’t. Ha! there’s my art school speel. MWAH
