Dragonfly in flight-PPMPMDF001 is based on a painting of the same female dragonfly that I sat by one summer’s evening as she looked for a suitable place to lay her eggs – I also has an artwork depicting that event too. Because this dragonfly was so engrossed in its task It was able to get very close indeed, to make several sketches and take a number of photographs. Though I and the dragonfly spent over an hour together neither bothered the other in any way and while I quietly went on with my work of recording the images I wanted the dragonfly female quietly went on with her, rather more important, task. I am now looking forward to seeing it’s offspring living in the wildlife pond I have in my garden during the summers to come.

My portfolio of work reflects my love of life. From ethnically inspired prints through wild & cultivated plants, people, places, castles, churches and pubs. If you like snow or beads & bangles, tigers, rocks, shadows that persist when the object that cast them is long gone, prints of land art (commissioned by the National Trust-UK to grace their meadows) then, surely, there is something here for you.
