In the forest #1 by Bob Johnson
Clear

This abstract image was recorded in the forests of south west Western Australia after the recent bushfires.

The tree trunks are blackened with ash and the ground is a deep ochre colour with all plants burnt away from the topsoil. The gold is the late afternoon sunlight. These colours; Black, Gold and Ochre are the colours of the Ozzie outback and the colours of the Austraian Aboriginal flag.

The green patches are new growth on the trees transforming them into stunningly beautiful new life, energy and regrowth.

Incredible series .. interesting narrative! No wonder these colours dominate Aust. Aboriginal art + colours on their musical instruments. Cheers
