When did this happen? How can we find out more about? I’ve seen swear words all over the RB, I guess you’re always at the mercy of a self-righteous idiot that presses the button “I’m offended”. I wonder what they do on the street or at work when they hear people swearing?
... hmmm, makes you wonder if the RB has not become “the church of the saintly art”..

It’s a farce and has been for nearly a week now….the forum threads have all been locked down, but you can go here to leave any unemotional and genuinely constructive arguments….. or to the many personal journals to use more colourful language (with humour ! lol) and perhaps get a bit more of the “emotion” of what people are saying, and feeling…..

I’ve already written admin about it, and found Helen on FB. Thankfully, these Obama bashers are in the minority here. Shameful.

You go, Cathleen…. If they just want art here, they should not have blogs and forums about anything that is not about art… but art does not exist in a vacuum. You can’t separate art and life. Can’t do it…. doesn’t work. There is a lot of work that people can be offended by on RB if they want to be offended. Why do some people get kicked off and others don’t? Maybe we should start do some bellyachin’ y’all to them thar white boys down under, huh?

Probably won’t make any difference but can I just point out that it is a public holiday weekend here in several states and admin (who come from far & wide) will probably not be doing anything about anything right now.

We all know what the issues are here but we don’t seem to be moving forward. As for the other ‘unemotional’ forum in the link above, i’m participating in it and I sure as damn hell am not unemotional about this issue…the question I am asking is, do we actually want to work on a positive outcome? In the words of someone I greatly admire, “steady and constructive pressure is needed here”.
Other than an outlet for our own feelings of frustration and anger, how are Journals like this productive to Helen’s reinstatement?

There is a time for voicing outrage, and there is a time for negotiation..that time is here and as we all know, timing is everything. Lets recognise it and run with it.

Meh, we’ve all headed over to facebook to get away from RB, because it smells like somebody farted, and i for one am waiting for some fresh air before i come back in

I sincerely hope that you, (and everyone else here), understands Cathleen that I would never begrudge anyone the right to express their support or to be informed fully of what has happened here. I myself have been so angered and outraged by this event that my trust in the RB leadership is almost at the point of no return, & that I too have expressed in ways that were probably less than helpful. I recognise others too have the right to express.
My own concerns and focus now are purely to see an expedient and positive resolution to this gross miscarriage of justice…if at all possible.

A terrible time on RB, i’d like to dedicate this to certain “artists”

I just came some days ago back to RB and found Helen is been thrown away….

It has been a very dark time on the Bubble indeed. Freedom of speak no longer exists unless it is with the express permission of those who pull the strings. A lot of people have redefined how they will remain on here and some have left altogether. A sad occasion all round.

I am not posting any more new work until Helen has her account back, and I am slowly leaving groups whether they have featured me or not. Helen was one of the most featured artists on this site and to lose her account because she gets baited and harrased because of her views is so wrong…....

I’m very based on RB, but I really think about leaving…

There are so many alternatives to sell your art…

It will mean a lot of work, but I really think about giving up my RB accounts…….........

My account too could be just deleted in one second and all the work is gone anyway….

So maybe I just take it in my own hand and delete it on my own before RB does it…

Maybe the only autonomy of decision, which is left to myself…

I wrote a journal now

Yes. I did not sleep for a night & 2 days as this raged….
I’ve journalled and commented in more places than I previously even knew existed on RB. For me, this site is no longer safe. At least, not unless RB management IS able to come up with a solution and policy response that DOES enable FAIR resolution of the situation Helen has been placed in.
I am also for the first time ‘spreading’ myself and my work to other sites as well.
O – and “bait&tackle” usually goes with a bit of a bad smell, doesn’t it? ;)))

Right now I am ‘waiting’ for the FAIR resolution from RB management…..

how bad is this hey…. the real core of RB has been exposed here and it’s not a good one…. still at least they have now been honest enough to let us know that it’s ‘just a website’ and people who complain can sod off elsewhere…... this is the beginning of the end of it as far as I am concerned….

I am so sorry too. I doesn’t miss Helen the way you guys did because I didn’t know her.
However I am very engaged in the questions raised around it and dreadful for all others leaving.

But , I don’t seriously believe RB founder or staff is going to comment anything. As most corp and biz the will be the silence of authority. People will leave as if rotten apples in the RB basket and things will settle down. Then shouts goes to a mumble that no one can hear any more. A self – ethnic cleansing for the cheap price of “the free” word as well as “political in-correctness”...

Just .. don’t… expect … miracles..

Well i for one am removing my art for sale – like so many others… Although i can count on one hand what I have sold – ( i have however purchased a shit load! ) So they will miss me more than i will miss them!! But somethings gotta give…... If someone could just tell me the quick way so i dont have to go through each one individually that would be wonderful!!

I seldom agreed with Helen and her “agenda”, however, I never believed that what she said should ever be censored. We all have the right to speak our minds, whether or not anyone cares. If, for no other reason, she created conversation about important issues. Too bad she felt she had to leave RB! (Those who were offended, angered, etc., could simply remove her from their “Watch List”!)
